1. Sex And The City: The Movie - Special Edition (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I expected a genuinely dreadful experience via Sex and the City: The Movie, I must admit the end result was surprisingly tolerable. That doesn’t make it good, as it’s really a pretty cheesy piece of fashion-based melodrama at heart, but it’s watchable ... The quality of the disc disappoints, but I doubt that’ll keep fans from their City fix. I d

2. The Losers [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While the film’s trailers promised a wild romp, The Losers instead proves to be surprisingly subdued. Oh, it throws out the occasional big action piece, but it doesn’t provide enough pizzazz to overcome its many pedestrian elements. The Blu-ray enjoys strong picture and audio but gives us fairly average supplements. This becomes a good presentation of a

4. Sex and the City: The Complete Series and 2 Movie Collection [Blu-Ray] (1998-2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A major hit and a cultural sensation, Sex and the City holds up surprisingly well more than two decades after its debut. Even for someone far outside its target audience, I can find charm and wit in this mostly engaging series, though don’t expect much from the flawed feature films. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall. New Line, $179.99, 11/2/2

5. Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If I recall correctly, I enjoyed the multiple universe concept found in earlier DC Comics. As explored in Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths, however, the theme provides only sporadic pleasures. Essentially a lot of fighting without much story, the film remains pretty average. The Blu-ray boasts excellent visuals, good audio and a very nice roster of s

6. Sex And The City 2 [Blu-Ray} (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Perhaps someone can find value in Sex and the City 2, but I can’t. Smug, witless and thoroughly obnoxious, this becomes a painful 146 minutes. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall. New Line, $19.98, 10/26/2010.

8. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies - Special Edition (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it lacks the political complexity its theme promises, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies compensates with other strengths. In particular, it throws out so much fine action that it creates a genuinely fun, exciting adventure. The DVD boasts good picture and audio but the extras tend to be lackluster, mainly because so many focus on promotional efforts.

9. Mr. 3000 (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A good premise and able cast should have made Mr. 3000 a fun ride. Unfortunately, it ended up as a deadly dull dud. Very little amusement crops up in this slow and illogical tale. Even die-hard Bernie Mac fans should stay away from this clunker, as it manifests little entertainment value. Starring Bernie Mac, Angela Bassett. Fox, $29.99, 2/1/2005.
